Nic + Lydia | Wedding Bonita Springs, Florida

I was straight sobbing at Nic and Lydia’s wedding. I normally cry at all weddings at some point. But this was sobbing! And let me tell you why.

When we were still living in Florida, we led a Bible study every week. Jimmy started it years ago and then I came in and we co-led for 3 years until our move to Oregon. Some weeks there were just a few of us, but most weeks our home was filled with close to 20 people. Nick and Lydia both attended this Bible study and it’s where they met.

Now they didn’t instantly start dating and in fact, they were dating other people. But the way God worked and moved in them over time got them to a place of singleness and gave them the opportunity to give dating each other a chance. Fast forward and now they’re married! There were 25 of us from the Bible study there (many more invited that couldn’t make it). Getting to see them before they knew each other and then watch the growth of their relationship unfold is beyond emotional and no words can ever explain just how in awe of God I am and how much I love this couple. And now, they are the ones leading that same Bible study.

That group changed my life! No exaggeration. I wouldn’t be the same without that community and it was amazing getting to be a part of celebrating these two tying the knot.
